PMO & Automation Analyst Trainee

Job Description

We are seeking a highly motivated and technology-oriented Trainee to support the automation, reporting, and continuous improvement of PMO and governance processes.

Process Automation

• Support the design, development and maintain automations that reduce manual effort and improve data quality.
• Create and maintain Python scripts to automate repetitive business tasks, file consolidation, data cleansing, and report generation.
• Assist in developing workflows using Microsoft Power Automate to streamline business processes and approvals.
• Support data integration activities between systems through APIs and automated data exchanges (nice to have).

Data Management & Analytics

Support the PMO team in maintaining portfolio dashboards, project trackers, and status reports by:

• Consolidating and transforming data from multiple sources using Power Query.
• Designing and maintaining Excel models, dashboards, pivot tables, and VBA-based automations.
• Producing KPI reporting through Power BI.
• Ensuring data quality, consistency, and governance standards are maintained.

Jira Administration & Integration (or similar ticketing tool)

• Support Jira reporting, dashboards, and project tracking activities.
• Develop solutions using Jira APIs to automate data extraction, updates, and integrations.
• Assist teams in improving the usage of Jira data for portfolio and project management purposes.

Continuous Improvement

• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance PMO processes and reporting.
• Identify opportunities to simplify, standardise, and automate existing business processes.
• Drive reporting automation and process enhancements to improve portfolio visibility and decision-making.

Other

• Ability to prepare draft presentations and meeting minutes.
• Understanding of scheduling and coordinating meetings (agendas, follow-ups).
• Experience in organising files and maintaining structured documentation.
• Familiarity with project management methodologies (PMI, Agile, or hybrid approaches).

Qualifications

The ideal candidate should possess solid academic knowledge and hands-on experience in

• Processes automation
• Data management & analytics
• Data transformation into meaningful reporting
• Systems integration, with the ability to independently develop solutions
• Project management methodologies and governance

Minimum education

• Currently enrolled in or recently graduated from a bachelor's degree programme in Information Technology or Engineering
• Must be eligible for an internship agreement with a university or an academic institution

Language requirements

• English, almost fluent is a must
