Job Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented and customer-focused Cashier to join our dynamic team in Visakhapatnam, India. In this permanent position, you will be the face of our organisation at the point of sale, ensuring accurate transactions, maintaining cash handling integrity, and delivering exceptional service to every customer. Your efficiency, professionalism, and collaborative approach will be instrumental in supporting smooth daily operations and creating a positive experience for all guests. - Process customer payments accurately using Point of Sale (POS) systems, handling cash, card, and digital transactions with precision - Reconcile cash drawers at the end of each shift, identifying and resolving discrepancies promptly

• Maintain strict adherence to cash handling procedures and security protocols to safeguard organisational assets - Provide friendly, professional, and efficient customer service, addressing queries and concerns with empathy and transparency - Verify customer identification and payment methods in accordance with company policies and regulatory requirements - Balance daily transactions and prepare accurate financial reports for management review
• Collaborate with team members to ensure seamless operations during peak and off-peak periods - Maintain a clean, organised checkout area and ensure all equipment is in working order - Handle customer complaints and challenging situations with resilience and a solution-focused approach - Support inventory management by communicating stock levels and assisting with stock verification when required

Qualifications

**Education** - Minimum Diploma (D3) in Accounting, Business Administration, Hospitality Management, or a related field - Bachelor's Degree is desirable

**Required Skills & Experience** - Proven experience as a Cashier or in a similar customer-facing role within retail or hospitality environments - Proficiency with Point of Sale (POS) systems and cash handling equipment - Strong numeracy skills and mathematical accuracy in processing transactions - Excellent time keeping and organisational abilities

• Outstanding people skills and the ability to communicate effectively with diverse customers - Demonstrated ability to work efficiently under pressure whilst maintaining accuracy - Proven track record of honesty, integrity, and trustworthiness in handling financial transactions - Problem-solving capability and the ability to make decisive decisions in fast-paced environments **Desirable Skills & Experience**
• Experience with multiple payment systems and digital payment platforms - Knowledge of retail or hospitality industry standards and best practices - Previous experience in cash reconciliation and financial reporting - Familiarity with inventory management systems **Domain Expertise** - Understanding of cash handling procedures and financial security protocols - Knowledge of customer service excellence principles and practices
