Graduate Placement - Technical Purchasing (12-24 Months)

At our plant in Glenrothes, Scotland we design, develop, and produce radial piston motors working in partnership with world renowned international OEMs in industries such as material handling, construction, and forestry machinery. 

Job Description

• Within your role, you will take responsibility by actively working on technical purchasing projects in the area of the hydraulic radial piston motor.
• You will create and track requests for quotations in Pilum. You actively participate in the preparation and conduction of technical supplier discussions and their follow-up.
• Furthermore, you will assist in coordinating the scope of sampling with suppliers and technical departments as part of the sampling process.
• You will prepare sourcing decisions in an international procurement market.
• Last but not least, you will support the project buyers as an interface between the business unit, material field-related purchasing and suppliers. At the same time, you will represent the purchasing department in the product development process (PEP) and the implementation of price reduction potentials.

Qualifications

• Education: Procurement, Industrial Engineering, Business Administration, Engineering or similar
• Personality and work style: team player, communicative, independent, structured and assertive
• Experience and know-how: proficient handling of MS Office as well as basic technical understanding, previous experience in purchasing departments and with SAP desirable
• Language: English business fluent
