Principal Value Engineer

The Team: Value Engineering is responsible for our largest Fortune 500 customers and owns their transformation journey by working on the very frontier of what’s possible with data and AI on the Celons Platform. Partnering closely with the Sales team, Value Engineering is responsible for ensuring that the Celonis Platform is deployed to tackle the most strategic business challenges, fits into the right place in our customers’ technology stack and most importantly generates strong ROI through deep and broad deployments.

The Role: As a Principal Value Engineer, you are a visionary leader and industry authority spearheading global AI and data-driven business transformations for major organisations, driving the customer’s end-to-end value journey. Operating as the expert technology and business advisor, you will partner directly with Fortune500 CxOs and Board members to reimagine their operating models and optimize critical workflows using the Celonis Context Model. As the AI strategist and thought leader, working alongside Senior and Lead Value Engineers, your core mandate is to design, negotiate, and steer monumental, multi-year programs that permanently alter the competitive landscape for your customers.

The work you’ll do:

• Value Selling & Realization: Act as a visionary trusted advisor, defining how Celonis serves as the foundational intelligence layer for the customer’s global AI strategy. Take ultimate accountability for hundred-million-dollar value realization targets. Deliver compelling, board-ready financial narratives and define the industry standard for value workshops.
• Stakeholder Management: Command the C-suite. Mobilize global executive sponsorship and align fragmented organizational silos around a singular transformation vision. Architect the global change management and CoE strategy that sets the benchmark for the industry.
• Program Management: Steer multi-year, global mega-transformations. Pioneer new AI-driven orchestration models for account planning and enterprise governance. Automate and elevate executive alignment, ensuring seamless SteerCos at the highest levels of leadership.
• Platform & AI Fluency: Act as the pinnacle of AI-fluent operations, dictating the technical strategy and orchestrating entire teams of Applied Value Engineers, Data Scientists, and Product Managers to deliver ground-breaking, customized enterprise solutions.
• Scale Value: Define the blueprint for global expansion roadmaps. Act as a strategic liaison to the Celonis Product & Engineering leadership, shaping the future roadmap of the platform based on macro-industry trends.

The qualifications you need:

• Experience: 10+ years of deep, expert-level experience in Management Consulting, Value Engineering, or Enterprise Strategy. Recognized as an industry expert who works purely at a strategic, transformational level.
• AI & Technical & Fluency: Unmatched strategic understanding of global IT architectures and SaaS ecosystems (e.g., SAP). A visionary AI-fluent operator who uses AI to scale strategy and execution, directing technical teams to build state-of-the-art solutions.
• Builder Mentality: Entrepreneurial mindset. You define the direction for massive global account teams and are intrinsically motivated to set new industry records for living for customer value.
• Process Improvement & Value Realization: Global authority on value realization and enterprise process excellence. You write the playbook on business-critical use cases.
• Strategic Program & Stakeholder Management: Unparalleled capability to orchestrate global, multi-year mega-programs. A trusted advisor to C-level executives with flawless English and Dutch communication and commanding preferably, boardroom-ready executive presence.
• Domain & Industry: Master industry strategist with recognized thought leadership in the Finance/Supply Chain domains.
• Degree: Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, Business Analytics or a comparable technical degree (Master’s/MBA preferred).
