Job Description

POSITION SUMMARY

• Responsible for carrying out day-to-day maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting of guest rooms, public areas, back-of-house facilities, and hotel equipment. The Technician – Ken Fix provides multi-skilled maintenance support covering basic electrical, plumbing, carpentry, painting, masonry, and general repair works to ensure a safe, functional, and luxury hotel.
• Respond promptly to guest room maintenance requests.
• Inspect and repair defects in guestrooms and suites.
• Maintain room fixtures, fittings, and furniture to luxury hotel standards.
• Ensure guest room equipment operates correctly and safely.
• Perform minor repairs and maintenance works involving:

Replace lamps and light fixtures.

Repair switches, sockets, and controls.

Troubleshoot basic electrical faults.

Replace damaged electrical accessories.

Repair leaking faucets and valves.

Clear drain blockages.

Replace traps, hoses, and fittings.

Repair flushing systems and sanitary fixtures.

Tile replacement.

Grouting repairs.

Minor concrete and plaster repairs.

Qualifications

Qualifications

• Technical Certificate, Vocational Diploma, or equivalent trade qualification.
• Training in building maintenance, electrical, plumbing, carpentry, or related fields preferred.

Experience

• Minimum 1–2 years experience in:
  • Luxury hotels
  • Resorts
  • Commercial buildings
  • Residential high-rise properties
  • Hospitality experience preferred.
