Get to Know the Team

The Self-Serve Business Regional Team (SSBU) is on a mission to build a sustainable and scalable ecosystem for B2B customers. We aim to maximize the Lifetime Value (LTV) of B2B customers, driving substantial, repeatable, and forecastable growth in Grab's revenue and profitability. We achieve this by leveraging technology and building business models across multiple products, including Grab for Business (GFB).

The SSBU Strategy & Planning team partners with Product, Marketing, Inside Sales, and country teams to design and scale the programs that turn high-intent businesses into active GFB accounts. We are builders who move from insight to action, balancing strategic program design with hands-on execution to unlock sustainable SMB growth without proportional headcount growth.

Get to Know the Role

As Assistant Manager on the SSBU Strategy & Planning team, you will lead the design and execution of strategic programs that drive GFB's SMB segment growth across Southeast Asia. You will oversee workstreams that span across different life stages of our client's journey, and partner with cross-functional teams to translate strategy into measurable results.

You will report to the Manager, Self-Serve Regional Business Strategy, and partner closely with peers across the team, and with cross-functional teams across the region. This role supports SMB growth across all markets from a base in Malaysia.

This is a role for someone who excels at the intersection of strategy and execution, enjoys building programs from zero to one, and wants to shape how Southeast Asian businesses experience Grab. The Critical Tasks You Will Perform

• Design and execute strategic programs that drive GFB's SMB segment growth across Southeast Asia, from problem definition to delivery.
• Structure ambiguous business problems, summarize insights from data and market research, and translate them into applicable program designs and recommendations.
• Design and run structured experiments and lifecycle programs to improve client activation, engagement, and retention.
• Partner with cross-functional teams to align on go-to-market motions, secure agreement, and meet multi-year SMB growth targets.
• Prepare clear, strategic updates for senior stakeholders, including performance reports, business reviews, and recommendations.
• Use AI tools and latest technologies to accelerate research, automate analysis, and build lightweight solutions that improve team productivity and program effectiveness.

Qualifications

What Essential Skills You Will Need

• 4+ years of experience in strategy or growth roles, with a track record of designing and executing programs that delivered measurable business outcomes.
• Experience working cross-functionally to launch new initiatives, ideally in a tech, marketplace, or B2B SaaS environment.
• Strong analytical skills, with the ability to structure ambiguous problems, synthesize insights from data, and translate them into actionable program designs.
• A builder mindset with demonstrated ability to take programs from zero to one, owning end-to-end execution.
• Experience using AI tools and emerging technologies to boost productivity, improve workflows, and contribute new ideas.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.
