Job Description

We are seeking a professional and organized Assistant Manager to join our team at our St. Louis location on Gravois Road. In this role, you will play a key part in driving operational excellence and supporting our management team. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong leadership capabilities, exceptional organizational skills, and a commitment to fostering a positive work environment. You will be responsible for overseeing daily operations, managing staff performance, and ensuring our customers receive outstanding service.

• Supervise and support team members, providing guidance, coaching, and performance feedback to drive engagement and productivity
• Manage daily operational activities, including scheduling, inventory management, and resource allocation
• Monitor staff performance against established metrics and conduct regular performance reviews
• Train and onboard new team members, ensuring they understand company policies, procedures, and service standards
• Address customer concerns and resolve conflicts in a professional and timely manner
• Maintain accurate records, reports, and documentation related to operations and staff management
• Assist in the development and implementation of operational procedures and best practices
• Communicate effectively with senior management regarding team performance, challenges, and opportunities for improvement
• Ensure compliance with company policies, safety regulations, and local requirements
• Contribute to a positive workplace culture that promotes teamwork, respect, and continuous improvement

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in a supervisory or management role within a retail, hospitality, food service, or operations environment
• Proven ability to lead, motivate, and develop team members effectively
• Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to interact professionally with all levels of staff and customers
• Demonstrated problem-solving abilities and sound decision-making skills
• Proficiency in using point-of-sale (POS) systems and other relevant operational software
• Ability to analyze performance data and identify areas for improvement
• Customer service excellence with a focus on delivering exceptional experiences
• Conflict resolution and mediation skills
• Flexibility to work varied shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
• Preferred: Experience with staff training and development programs
• Preferred: Knowledge of inventory management and cost control practices
