Behavioral Health Technician FT

Behavioral Health Technician (BHT)
Pay: $15 per hour, plus shift differentials where applicable
Schedule: Weekdays 3pm-11pm & weekend shifts 7am-3pm, Weekend work is required
As a BHT, you’ll provide day-to-day support in a residential substance use treatment program. You’ll help create a safe, supportive environment while encouraging clients as they work toward recovery. This is a rewarding opportunity for someone who is dependable, compassionate, and interested in behavioral health.
What you’ll do
- Welcome and support clients during intake and throughout their stay.
- Maintain clear, accurate shift notes and client logs.
- Help maintain a safe, orderly, and therapeutic environment, including responding to crises.
- Support daily schedules, treatment-plan goals, activities, meetings, and recreation.
- Complete required bed checks and shift handoffs.
- Monitor medication lines and clients’ general well-being.
- Transport clients to approved meetings and activities.
- Maintain appropriate boundaries and follow program policies and ethical standards.
- Work closely with colleagues and help train new staff on unit operations.
- Assist with daily upkeep of the facility and other program needs.
What you’ll need
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Valid driver’s license.
- Drug and alcohol or mental health experience is preferred.
