Job Description

We are seeking a professional and customer-focused Bell Man to join our hospitality team in Aqaba, Jordan. As a Bell Man, you will be the first point of contact for our guests, delivering exceptional service with warmth and efficiency. This role is essential to creating a welcoming atmosphere and ensuring guests feel valued from the moment they arrive. You will work collaboratively with our team to maintain the highest standards of guest service while managing luggage and coordinating vehicle operations with precision and care.

• Welcome guests with genuine warmth and assist them in and out of vehicles by opening doors in a gracious and courteous manner, extending particular assistance to children, elderly guests, and those with disabilities
• Inform guests of vehicle parking procedures and direct valet parkers accordingly to ensure smooth operations
• Attend daily briefings with the Bell Captain and familiarize yourself with regular guests and special requests
• Maintain comprehensive knowledge of hotel facilities, current activities, promotions, and local happenings in Aqaba to provide accurate and helpful information to guests
• Assist valet parkers in issuing valet tickets to guests and manage the flow of traffic at hotel driveways with a focus on maximum safety
• Coordinate with security personnel to ensure strict implementation of all safety procedures and protocols
• Handle guest luggage promptly and professionally using proper lifting and safe handling techniques
• Deputize for other bellmen when necessary, retrieving and loading guest items from cars, buses, and vans with attention to detail
• Grasp, lift, carry, and load luggage and packages onto bell carts for transport to the hotel lobby, ensuring efficient movement
• Confirm with guests that the correct number of luggage items have been loaded or unloaded before allowing vehicles to depart
• Respond to guest queries with positivity and professionalism, addressing concerns with empathy and solutions-oriented thinking
• Follow all department policies, procedures, and organizational service standards, including comprehensive safety protocols
• Report "Lost & Found" items promptly and accurately through proper channels
• Perform additional duties as assigned and requested by management

Qualifications

• Genuine passion for delivering exceptional guest service and creating positive guest experiences
• Highly organized, results-oriented mindset with the ability to remain flexible and perform effectively under pressure
• Strong interpersonal and problem-solving abilities with a collaborative approach to teamwork
• Excellent presentation and communication skills in English; additional language skills are a plus
• Highly responsible, reliable, and dependable with a strong work ethic
• Demonstrated ability to work cohesively with colleagues as part of a unified team
• Ability to focus attention on guest needs while remaining calm, courteous, and professional at all times
• Physical fitness and capability to lift, carry, and transport heavy luggage safely and efficiently
• Knowledge of hotel operations, facilities, and local attractions in Aqaba
• Strong attention to detail with meticulous care in handling guest belongings
• Professional appearance and grooming standards consistent with hospitality industry expectations
• Ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
• Time management skills with the ability to prioritize multiple guest requests simultaneously
• Safety awareness and commitment to maintaining secure operations at all times
