Job Description

The opportunity

We are looking for an Business Controller who wants to be more than a backward-looking analyst – you’ll become a strategic sparring partner to our Key Account Managers and sales organization

You will work closely with sales to ensure profitable customer relationships and campaigns. You are a natural part of negotiation preparations, and you translate data into concrete recommendations that drive the business forward. You also have a solid grip on trade spend and pricing, ensuring commercial decisions are always grounded in profitability.

You will report to the Norwegian finance manager and be part of the Norwegian finance team consist of 3 supporting and committed colleagues. You will also work closely to the Northern Europe Marketing team as this role includes A&P cost controlling for Norway.

Key Responsibilities

• Act as a commercial business partner to the Norwegain Retail Sales team.
• Control of customer & category performance
• Ensure strong control, follow-up & analysis of trade spend
• Regular financial performance tasks; Budgeting, Closing, Forecasting & Internal controls.
• Business partner for marketing as a A&P cost controller for Norway
• Build strong, trust-based relationships across finance, sales & marketing.

Qualifications

About you

• Are commercially curious and enjoy dialogue with sales people
• Have 3-8 years of experience in controlling, ideally within FMCG
• Have a solid understanding of trade spend mechanisms and pricing dynamics.
• Can simplify complex data into clear messages
• Are proactive and take your own initiatives to analyse and bring facts to the organization.
• A structured controller that enjoys diving into numbers but equally much to spread the findings.
• Strong English skills and preferably a Scandinavian language.
• Advanced MS Excel & Power BI & SAP Skills
• AI knowledge and eager to implement to create efficiencies.
• Experience of working with remote colleagues
