Business Development Manager

We are looking for a real hunter: a payments enthusiast who is energised by opening doors, creating demand and selling complex pay-in and payout solutions. You will build your own pipeline, convert outreach into qualified opportunities and keep momentum through every stage to close.

•   Build and execute a focused territory and target-account strategy for EMEA, prioritising merchants with strong fit and revenue potential.
•   Create a consistent pipeline of new-logo opportunities through high-volume, high-quality prospecting, networking, referrals, events, partnerships and creative account-based approaches.
•   Achieve strong conversion from prospecting to qualified opportunities by tailoring outreach to the merchant’s business model, payment challenges and growth plans.
•   Lead discovery to uncover merchant pain points, decision criteria, urgency, stakeholders and the value EBANX can create across pay-in and payout.
•   Develop compelling, commercially sound value propositions for complex, multi-market payment solutions.
•   Own the full sales cycle from first contact through qualification, solution design, business case, negotiation and close.
•   Maintain pace and control across every opportunity: clear next steps, stakeholder maps, mutual action plans, risks and close plans.
•   Orchestrate Product, Solutions, Risk, Legal, Finance, Operations, Marketing and local market experts to progress opportunities and remove blockers.
•   Maintain accurate opportunity stages, activity, forecasts, probabilities and close dates in Salesforce.
•   Monitor market and competitor developments and use those insights to sharpen targeting, messaging and sales plays.
•   Provide leadership with practical feedback on how to improve the sales cycle, channels, propositions and brand awareness.
•   Represent EBANX and its brand with a high degree of professionalism at all times.

•   A strong network of EMEA based merchants, payments leaders, advisers and ecosystem partners that can accelerate access to relevant decision-makers.
•   A proven hunter profile with repeated evidence of self-sourced pipeline and new-logo wins.
•   High conversion from outbound activity into qualified opportunities, combined with strong discipline in moving opportunities through sales stages.
•   Creative prospecting: you test new angles, channels and routes into complex accounts rather than relying on inbound leads.
•   Experience closing complex, multi-stakeholder payment deals across multiple products and markets.

•   Full ownership: from prospecting to opportunity and from taking accountability for outcomes while navigating complex products, stakeholders and decision paths.
•   Engagement and orchestration: bringing together merchant teams and multiple global EBANX functions to move opportunities forward.
•   Energy and fun: contributing enthusiastically and positively as we build, develop and grow EMEA together.

•   At least 7 years of relevant experience in payments, including a strong track record in business development and new-logo sales and consistently delivering against targets.
•   A genuine enthusiasm for selling complex payment solutions across pay-in and payout, with a strong understanding of merchant payment environments and needs.
•   Experience working across international markets and in fast-moving, entrepreneurial organisations.
•   Strong commercial judgement, analytical skills, attention to detail and the ability to turn data into clear account or territory actions.
•   Proven Salesforce experience, including disciplined pipeline management, revenue forecasting and sales-stage progression.
•   Confident, concise and credible communication, presentation, negotiation and persuasion skills, including with senior stakeholders.
•   Tenacity, resilience and a positive, solution-oriented mindset.
•   Excellent planning, prioritisation, organisation and time-management discipline.
•   Fluent English. An additional language is an advantage.
•   A valid passport and willingness to travel up to 30% of the time with 2 days per week in our London office
