Job Description

At Home Instead Leek & Moorlands we offer support to individuals living in their own home. We have a range of contracts at present that involve visiting clients in Leek and the surrounding area. We are looking for someone reliable, friendly and caring to make a difference to our clients' lives. You must have flexibility to work alternate weekends. No experience required - just a friendly personality and the right values.

At Home Instead we have minimum 1-hour calls plus suitable travel time to ensure you are not rushed with clients, with mileage reimbursement. We work to

Responsibilities as a Domiciliary Care Assistant:

• Perform household tasks such as light cleaning, laundry and tidying.
• Make, or assist to make your client's favourite meals.
• Offer companionship and social support, engaging with your client's hobbies and getting to know them.
• Support with personal care tasks such as showering, washing hair, and getting changed.
• Taking clients out to places of their choice e.g. the local shops or a café.
• Ensure transparent communication with clients and loved ones, offering first-rate care and comfort.
• Write accurate daily notes, keeping up strong communication with the office.
• Administer medication and record appropriately.

Requirements:

• Experience is not required; we offer comprehensive in-house training. However, any previous care experience either professional or personal is an advantage.
• You must have a full driver's licence and dependable transportation for various duties.
• You must be reliable and punctual to ensure we can continue to provide an excellent service to our clients.
• Must have a caring, friendly personality.
