Job Description

• Prepare, season, and cook food in accordance with menu specifications
• Plan and organise food preparation across service periods to ensure smooth operations
• Maintain consistency, quality, and presentation of all dishes
• Ensure compliance with food safety, hygiene, and workplace health and safety standards
• Store food correctly and manage stock rotation to minimize waste
• Assist with ordering, receiving, and checking kitchen supplies
• Clean and maintain kitchen equipment, workstations, and food preparation areas
• Support menu execution for functions, conferences, weddings, and special events
• Contribute to continuous improvement of kitchen operations

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of relevant commercial cooking experience, or a relevant Certificate III or IV in Commercial Cookery (or equivalent)
• Proven experience performing duties consistent with the occupation of Chef
• Sound knowledge of food safety standards and safe food handling practices
• Demonstrated ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced commercial kitchen environment
• Strong teamwork, communication, and time-management skills
• Attention to detail
