Where and how you can work
Our flagship Sydney campus is uniquely Canva - an extension of our Surry Hills neighbourhood. It’s a thoughtfully designed space with plenty of room to collaborate, focus, and connect.
This role is based in Sydney, and we’re looking for someone who calls it home. Our hybrid way of working gives you the flexibility to work remotely, and to come together on campus for meaningful in-person collaboration and connection when it matters most. We are looking for someone who thrives under constant change and is continuously looking for process improvements. Areas you would cover could include cash, intercompany, leases, accruals, and acquisition integrations. In this role, you’ll be a mix of reviewer and preparer depending on the level of complexity.
Additionally, in this role you’ll be expected to represent the corporate accounting team during AU hours by working closely with the broader accounting teams, tax team, and key business partners to support the close process, troubleshoot issues, and ensure accounting outcomes are accurate and reliable. As needed, you may also support adjacent initiatives such as systems enhancements, process documentation, and other accounting projects that strengthen close operations.
Reporting to the Senior Manager, Corporate Accounting Lead, you'll play a pivotal role in strengthening Canva's month-end close capabilities while building a high-performing team that can support the scale and complexity of a rapidly expanding company.
