Deputy project manager

Job Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Deputy Project Manager to join our team in Mansoura, Egypt. In this role, you will support the Project Manager in overseeing project execution, ensuring timely delivery, and maintaining quality standards. The successful candidate will demonstrate strong organizational skills, professional judgment, and the ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining efficiency and accuracy.

• Assist the Project Manager in planning, scheduling, and coordinating project activities to ensure successful project delivery
• Monitor project progress against timelines and budgets, identifying and reporting variances to senior management
• Prepare and maintain comprehensive project documentation, including status reports, meeting minutes, and project records
• Coordinate communication between project team members, stakeholders, and clients to ensure alignment and transparency
• Support resource allocation and scheduling to optimize team productivity and project efficiency
• Identify potential project risks and work with the Project Manager to develop mitigation strategies
• Track project expenses and assist in budget management to ensure cost control
• Facilitate team meetings and maintain action item tracking to drive accountability
• Assist in onboarding new team members and provide project-related guidance as needed
• Analyze project data and metrics to support decision-making and process improvements

Qualifications

• Minimum 15+ years of professional experience in project management, with substantial experience in MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing) projects
• Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering, MEP Engineering, or Water Management
• Proven track record supporting senior project managers or leading project management teams on large-scale infrastructure or construction projects
• Fluency in both English and Arabic (written and verbal) 
• Excellent time management and organizational skills with proven ability to manage multiple complex projects simultaneously
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with demonstrated expertise in MEP coordination and technical project delivery
• Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced, demanding environment
• Extensive experience with budget tracking, cost management, and financial reporting
• Preference for candidates residing in Gharbia, Mansoura, or Kafrelsheikh governorates
