Bosch first started its operations in Vietnam in 1994 and registered a wholly-owned subsidiary in 2008. According to the business strategy of Bosch in Vietnam, from 1st July 2014 on all business entities were merged into Bosch Vietnam Co. Ltd. with its head office at Ho Chi Minh City plant (HcP) in Dong Nai Province.

HcP has started its belt assembly in a rented building on 1st August 2008 as the assembly plant of Tilburg Plant (TbP). On 14th April 2011, HcP celebrated the inauguration of the new plant (Lth101 with 17,000 sqm), which did not only allow to increase the production depth, but also to facilitate the push belt assembly of this high-tech product. On 3rd July 2012 HcP marked a big milestone by starting to produce the second component (loop-set) for its push belt. Since November 2012, HcP doubled the production floor space and increase the net total floor space up to 56.000 m², and have successfully increased its production capacity and realized a lot of new line SOP’s.

Job Description

1. Hands-on AI (Artificial Intelligence) Solution Development & Deployment:

• Computer Vision / AI@AOI (Automated Optical Inspection).
• Machine Learning, predictive models & anomaly/deviation detection.
• LLM (Large Language Model)/ Generative AI applications.
• Develop PoC → validate → industrialize → deploy into production.
• Ensure model performance, robustness and maintainability

2. AI Strategy, Roadmap & Governance:

• Define and maintain HcP (Hochiminh city Plant) AI strategy & multi-year roadmap.
• Establish AI governance: use-case intake, prioritization, data ownership, model risk, ethics, security & compliance.
• Translate business challenges into AI opportunities.
• Define standards for AI architecture, model lifecycle, MLOps, documentation and operational handover.

3. Business Value & Use-case Management:

• Identify and assess AI opportunities together with business functions.
• Prioritize based on business value, feasibility and data readiness.
• Define measurable KPIs/business cases.
• Track realized benefits after implementation.

4. AI Capability & Ecosystem:

• Build AI competence within HcP.
• Coach project teams and enable business functions to adopt AI.
• Collaborate with central/PS (Power Solution) AI experts and external partners.
• Reuse and scale proven solutions instead of developing isolated solutions

5. AI Architecture & Technology:

• Define appropriate AI architecture considering on-premise, edge and hybrid deployment.
• Integration with manufacturing/IT systems and data platforms.
• Evaluate technologies/frameworks and support build-vs-buy decisions.
• Ensure scalability, security and lifecycle management.

Qualifications

1, Education

• Degree: Bachelor / Master Degree
• Major: Computer Science, Data Science, AI, Engineering, or related fields.

2, Work experience

• Minimum 3 years of experience in AI, Machine Learning, Data Analytics, or Digital Transformation, preferably in manufacturing.
• Strong hands-on experience in AI/ML development, including Python, Deep Learning, and relevant frameworks (PyTorch, TensorFlow).
• Computer Vision expertise is highly preferred, particularly in image processing, object detection, and automated visual inspection.
• Good knowledge of data analytics, AI model deployment, and practical AI applications in manufacturing.
• Understanding of manufacturing processes, IT/OT systems, and industrial digitalization.
• Ability to contribute to AI strategy, identify business use cases, and drive AI solutions from PoC to production.
• Strong project leadership, problem-solving, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
• Good communication skills in English and Vietnamese.
