Join Pyramid Healthcare as a Driver/Client Transporter and help make every part of the care journey safer and more welcoming. You’ll be one of the first people patients meet—and an important part of their experience getting to and from treatment and support services.
Driver/Client Transporter — Full-Time
Location: Charlotte Hall Facility, 30007 Business Center Drive, Charlotte Hall, MD
Pay: $15–$16 per hour
Schedule:
- Monday–Friday, 10:00 a.m.–6:00 p.m.
- Sunday–Thursday, 8:00 a.m.–4:00 p.m.
Meal reimbursement is provided for each shift worked. Company vehicles only.
What you’ll do
- Transport patients to and from behavioral healthcare services and related appointments.
- Provide safe, caring transportation and appropriate supervision during trips.
- Communicate with patients, coworkers, and the care team in a positive, professional manner.
- Offer thoughtful customer service, including during stressful situations.
- Clean and sanitize vehicles to help maintain a safe transport environment.
- Learn and follow the procedures for the client transportation system.
- Help maintain a safe environment for patients, yourself, and coworkers.
What you’ll need
- Active, valid driver’s license.
- High school diploma or GED preferred.
- Experience in transportation, patient care, a hospital, or behavioral healthcare is a plus.
- Ability to follow oral and written instructions and communicate clearly.
- Comfort with frequent, sometimes extended drives and sitting for long periods.
- CPR certification within 30 days of hire and completion of required safety training.
- Willingness to wear a mask while transporting patients.
