Engineer / Sr. Engineer - QMPP (Quality Manager for product in production ) - SAM PSS

Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Engineer/ Sr. Engineer  - QMPP (Quality Manager for Product in Production) to join our team in Bangalore, India. In this critical role, you will be responsible for overseeing and optimizing our quality management processes for products in production, ensuring the highest standards of quality and customer satisfaction.

1. Monitor and track quality KPIs and ensure adherence to targets.
2. Implement corrective actions for quality deviations.
3. Conduct process, product, and line release audits.
4. Support production changes with necessary quality planning.
5. Maintain and update quality documentation (FMEA, Control Plan, WI).
6. Lead structured problem solving using 8D and root cause analysis.
7. Handle customer complaints and warranty issues effectively.
8. Coordinate and deploy Lessons Learned across processes and projects.
9. Ensure compliance with customer-specific and regulatory requirements.
10. Support customer audits and quality reviews.
11. Manage quality escalations and containment actions.
12. Handle PPAP submissions and approvals.
13. Support safe launch activities and production readiness.
14. Work with cross-functional teams on quality improvements.
15. Drive continuous improvement in manufacturing quality performance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical / Electronics Engineering, Quality Management, or related field; 
• 6+ years of experience in Automotive Industry and Quality Management
• IATF 16949 Internal Auditor Certification 
• VDA 6.3 Auditor Certification (Recommended )  
• Proficiency in quality management tools and techniques (e.g., SPC, FMEA, 8D)
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills
• Proven track record of implementing successful quality improvement initiatives
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
