Job Description

The Opportunity

We’re looking for our next extraordinary team member to join our Food & Beverage team as a Food & Beverage Attendant at Esprit Noir and Le Rivage.

From relaxed poolside service at Le Rivage to vibrant lobby bar experiences at Esprit Noir, you’ll have the opportunity to work across two unique outlets while delivering the warm, personalised service that defines Sofitel.

You’ll be at the heart of the guest experience, welcoming guests, taking orders, recommending menu items and beverages, and ensuring every detail of their visit is looked after. Whether you’re helping a guest start their morning with the perfect breakfast or creating an enjoyable dining experience in the evening, you’ll bring energy, personality and genuine hospitality to every service.

Key Responsibilities

• Welcome and engage with guests, creating a warm and inviting atmosphere from arrival through to farewell.
• Deliver attentive and personalised food and beverage service across Esprit Noir and Le Rivage.
• Take accurate food and beverage orders and confidently answer questions about menus, ingredients and beverage offerings.
• Recommend cocktails, wine, champagne, spirits, beverages and food based on guest preferences.
• Deliver food and beverages efficiently while maintaining high standards of presentation and service.
• Adapt your service style to suit the sophisticated atmosphere of Esprit Noir and the relaxed poolside environment of Le Rivage.
• Develop strong knowledge of both outlets, including menus, beverage offerings, promotions and service procedures.
• Anticipate guest needs and look for opportunities to create memorable moments throughout their experience.
• Respond to guest requests and feedback professionally, taking ownership wherever possible.
• Maintain the presentation, cleanliness and organisation of guest and service areas throughout each shift.
• Work closely with the Kitchen, Bar and wider Food & Beverage teams to ensure smooth and efficient service.
• Assist with opening and closing duties, restocking and general operational requirements.
• Maintain responsible service of alcohol, food safety, hygiene and workplace health and safety standards.

Qualifications

About You

You’re a passionate hospitality professional who loves connecting with people and creating memorable guest experiences. You enjoy variety and are excited by the opportunity to work across both a sophisticated lobby bar and a relaxed poolside environment.

You bring:

• Previous Food & Beverage or hospitality experience, ideally within a premium, luxury or high-volume environment.
• A genuine passion for delivering exceptional guest service.
• A warm, friendly and confident personality with a natural ability to connect with a diverse range of guests.
• Strong communication skills and the confidence to make recommendations and answer guest questions.
• Excellent attention to detail and pride in maintaining high service and presentation standards.
• The ability to adapt your approach and service style to different guest environments.
• The ability to remain calm, organised and attentive during busy service periods.
• A strong team mentality and willingness to support your colleagues wherever needed.
• An interest in food, cocktails, wine and the wider world of hospitality.
• A current RSA certificate.
• Full Australian working rights.
• Flexibility to work across a rotating roster, including mornings, evenings, weekends and public holidays.
