Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

  • Carry out daily maintenance and repair work throughout the hotel.
  • Inspect and maintain electrical, plumbing, HVAC, mechanical, and other hotel equipment.
  • Respond promptly to maintenance requests from guests and hotel departments.
  • Troubleshoot and repair electrical faults, lighting, sockets, switches, and basic electrical systems.
  • Perform basic plumbing repairs, including leaks, taps, toilets, and drainage issues.
  • Assist with air-conditioning and ventilation system maintenance.
  • Conduct preventive maintenance according to the hotel's maintenance schedule.
  • Monitor and maintain equipment in guest rooms, public areas, kitchens, back-of-house areas, and staff facilities.
  • Report major faults and equipment issues to the Engineering Supervisor or Director of  Engineering.
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance work and completed tasks.
  • Ensure all maintenance activities comply with hotel safety standards and procedures.
  • Follow Accor's standards for health, safety, hygiene, and environmental practices.
  • Assist contractors and specialist technicians when required.
  • Respond to emergency maintenance situations and breakdowns.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized engineering workshop and work area.

Qualifications

Skills & Qualifications

  • Previous experience in hotel maintenance or a similar engineering role.
  • Basic knowledge of electrical, plumbing, HVAC, mechanical, and general building maintenance.
  • Ability to troubleshoot and solve maintenance problems.
  • Good communication and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to work shifts, weekends, and public holidays when required.
  • Safety-conscious and able to follow hotel procedures.
  • Technical/vocational certification is an advantage.

Additional Information

  • Strong interpersonal and problem solving abilities
  • Fluency in English , additional languages are a plus
