Job Description

Your Role in the Story

As a Groom at LUURA, you shape the first and last impression of every stay. You’re often the first smile guests see when they arrive and the last wave when they leave, making every arrival and departure feel personal, effortless and memorable. You take care of guests’ luggage and belongings, help them settle in, and keep the front of house welcoming and well organized. 

It’s a hands-on, guest-facing role for someone who combines professionalism with genuine warmth, takes pride in the details, and works closely with Front Office, Concierge, Housekeeping, F&B, Security and Engineering to deliver one consistent LUURA standard of service.

Key Responsibilities 

• Welcome every guest warmly on arrival and assist with their luggage and belongings, ensuring every arrival, stay, and departure feels personal, seamless, and memorable. 
• Park, retrieve, and manage guest vehicles safely, following LUURA valet procedures (where applicable). 
• Ensure smooth departures, with luggage and vehicles ready on time and a warm farewell that leaves guests looking forward to their return. 
• Keep the entrance, driveway, and lobby clean, organized, and welcoming at all times. 
• Escort guests to their rooms, introduce them to the hotel and its facilities, and share thoughtful recommendations about LUURA and the island. 
• Anticipate guest needs and deliver thoughtful, personalized service at every touchpoint. 
• Ensure VIP and returning guest preferences and special requests are recognized and shared with Front Office. 
• Handle guest belongings with care, responsibility, and discretion. 
• Manage luggage storage, tagging, and tracking accurately and securely. 
• Report any suspicious activity, safety hazards, or maintenance issues promptly to Engineering and/or Security. 
• Follow lost & found procedures for any items found while handling guest belongings. 
• Respect guest privacy and confidentiality at all times. 
• Keep valet equipment, trolleys, and storage areas clean, organized, and in good/presentable condition. 
• Be the role model on values such as professionalism, open communication, reflecting LUURA’s luxury and with high standards positioning. 
• Uphold LUURA brand standards, SOPs, health & safety regulations, and company policies at all times. 
• Bring new ideas and continuously seek ways to elevate the LUURA guest experience.

Qualifications

Who We’re Looking For

We are looking for someone who combines professionalism with genuine hospitality: a warm, reliable, guest-focused team player who is passionate about creating memorable guest experiences in a luxury boutique environment. 

• Previous experience as a Groom, Porter, Bell Attendant, Valet, or in a guest-facing role within a luxury hotel, resort, boutique hotel, or lifestyle hospitality brand is preferred. 
• A valid driving license (required for valet duties). 
• Physically active and able to lift and carry luggage and equipment. 
• Trustworthy and discreet with guest personal equipment/belongings and vehicles. 
• Able to work independently and remain calm and efficient under pressure, especially during busy arrival and departure periods. 
• Good communication skills in English; additional languages are an advantage. 
• Eligible to work within the European Union.
