Job Description

The Hostess is responsible for creating a warm, welcoming, and professional first impression for all guests. The role involves greeting and seating guests, managing reservations, coordinating table assignments, and ensuring smooth communication between guests and the restaurant team. Fluency in Russian and English is required to effectively assist Russian-speaking guests.

• Welcome and acknowledge all guests with a warm, friendly, and professional attitude.
• Provide personalized service to Russian-speaking guests, ensuring their needs and preferences are understood.
• Manage restaurant reservations, guest inquiries, waiting lists, and table allocations.
• Escort guests to their tables and present menus in a professional manner.
• Maintain an accurate and organized seating plan throughout the service.
• Coordinate closely with the Restaurant Manager, Service Team, Kitchen, and other departments to ensure smooth operations.
• Monitor guest flow and manage waiting times effectively.
• Handle guest requests, concerns, and special occasions professionally and escalate issues when required.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of restaurant menus, promotions, operating hours, facilities, and hotel services.
• Assist in identifying VIP guests, regular guests, and special requests to ensure personalized service.
• Maintain a professional appearance and consistently follow grooming and hygiene standards.
• Answer telephone calls and respond to guest inquiries in a courteous and efficient manner.
• Ensure the hostess desk, entrance, and reception area are clean, organized, and presentable at all times.
• Support the restaurant team during busy periods as required.
• Promote a positive guest experience and contribute to guest satisfaction and loyalty.
• Follow all hotel policies, procedures, and service standards.
• Perform other reasonable duties assigned by the Restaurant Manager or management team.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a Hostess, Guest Relations, Receptionist, or similar hospitality role is preferred.
• Previous experience in a luxury hotel, upscale restaurant, or international hospitality environment is an advantage.
• Fluent Russian and English communication skills are required.
• Additional languages are an advantage.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Strong customer-service orientation with a genuine passion for hospitality.
• Professional, confident, and welcoming personality.
• Ability to remain calm and organized in a fast-paced environment.
• Good knowledge of reservations and restaurant seating procedures.
