Position Overview

As an HW Analysis Trainee within the XC-AC Camera Products team, you will support second-level field return investigations for automotive camera systems. You will work closely with experienced hardware engineers to analyse returned products, identify root causes of failures, and perform validation and debugging activities in laboratory environments.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support second-level analysis of field return products.
  • Perform electrical hardware analysis and failure debugging of returned camera products.
  • Conduct hardware and software tests in laboratory environments.
  • Assist in root cause analysis and technical problem-solving activities.
  • Develop and maintain analysis tools and scripts
  • Document investigation results
  • Collaborate with international cross-functional teams to resolve technical issues.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications

  • Currently pursuing or completed a BSc degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, Physics, or a comparable technical field.
  • Programming skills in C/C#, LabVIEW, Python, Assembler, or VBA.
  • Knowledge of digital electronics.
  • Familiarity with hardware measurement and laboratory equipment
  • Good English and/or German language skills.
  • Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to work independently as well as in global teams.
  • Structured, systematic, and self-organized working style.
  • Weekly minimum 20 hours.
  • At least 1 year of active student status is required.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience or knowledge in hardware development.
  • Experience with embedded systems.
  • Knowledge of automotive communication networks such as CAN, ETHERNET, LIN, LVDS, including simulation and diagnostics.
  • Experience with production testing is considered an advantage.
