Job Description

Key Responsibilities

Inspection & Measurement

• Inspection and measurement of sheet metal, fabrication, machined, bought-out, and assembly components.
• Preparation and review of measurement protocols and inspection reports.
• Verification of customer-specific quality requirements.

Supplier Quality Management

• Handling supplier quality issues and claims.
• Follow-up and verification of corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
• Support supplier qualification, evaluation, and development activities.
• Participate in supplier audits and ensure closure of audit findings.

Quality Planning & Documentation

• Preparation and review of Quality Assurance Plans (QAP).
• Review of PPAP, ISIR, and related quality documentation.
• Maintenance of inspection records and quality documentation.

Problem Solving & Continuous Improvement

• Conduct Root Cause Analysis using 5Why, Fishbone, 8D, etc.
• Drive supplier quality improvement initiatives.
• Support reduction of supplier PPM and repeat quality issues.

Cross-Functional Coordination

• Work closely with Engineering, SCM, Manufacturing, Project Management, and Suppliers for quality-related topics.

Coordinate supplier visits and quality improvement activities

Qualifications

Qualification

• B.E./B.Tech. Mechanical Engineering with 6-10 years of experience
