Job Description

1.Business _Strategic sourcing:

• Implement strategic sourcing activities for the organization.
• Work closely with Purchasing colleagues in Germany and Brazil to identify and implement sourcing strategies for assigned commodities.
• Conduct market research and cost benchmarking.
• Select suppliers and award business.
• Lead yearly price negotiations using cost benchmarking insights.
• Handle purchasing functions for assigned commodities.

2.Business _Cost, systems & NPD

• Execute RPP (VA/VE) activities to support business results.
• Perform costing, including cost breakdown and cycle-time analysis.
• Optimize current SAP supply-chain management processes.
• Support new product development using PPAP knowledge.

3.Delivery responsibilities

• Plan and contract supplier capacity for assigned commodities.
• Align with PPC on capacity planning.
• Work with suppliers to implement Lean Manufacturing concepts and execute Ship-to-Line contracts.

4.Managerial & Governance

• Mentor suppliers and act as the single point of contact for all commercial topics.
• Monitor supplier performance across negotiation results, new product development, quality and delivery metrics.
• Support internal stakeholders and develop supplier and material-field strategies accordingly.

5.Continuous improvement & compliance

• Maintain ISO and other audit documentation.
• Apply a continuous-improvement mindset to introduce better processes and solutions.
• Promote disciplined supplier governance and cross-functional follow-through.

Essential Qualification: BE Mechanical

Additional Information

Language Proficiency:English, Kannada and Hindi

Role Overview:- To execute strategic sourcing and end-to-end purchasing for assigned commodities, delivering competitive cost, supplier capacity, quality and delivery performance while supporting new product development, process improvement and global sourcing collaboration.

Experience :- 5 to 8 years of relevant experience in purchasing, strategic sourcing or supplier management. Preferred industry experience: tool manufacturing and hydraulic industries.
