Job Description
Job Summary:
The Production Supervisor coordinates and directs manufacturing activities during assigned shifts to meet safety, quality, and on-time delivery goals. This role supports operational performance by planning daily production workflows, helping optimize unit profitability, managing variable costs, and ensuring compliance with Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) and ISO standards. The Production Supervisor also leads front-line personnel, drives continuous improvement efforts such as Lean and 5S, manages inventory and equipment maintenance, and supports team development and succession planning.

- Pittman Schedule - 3 on/2off/2on/3off
- Working hours: 6pm-6am
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Promotes working environment to achieve excellence in productivity, Quality, and Environmental Health and Safety (EHS)
- Acts as an EHS champion by proactively promoting safety standards, leading incident prevention efforts, and fostering a culture of environmental responsibility across all production activities
- Delivers regular internal reporting of production activities including, but not limited to standard SAP, Tableau and locally generated reports to site leadership
- Leads by example & develops close working relationships with the plant staff and specific vendors
- Manages the logistics of preparing mobile water treatment equipment for dispatch to customer sites, ensuring quality & customer satisfaction
- Oversees operations and continuous improvement projects related to chemical and utility usage, wastewater treatment, regeneration efficiency, water treatment equipment turnover, procurement, maintenance, and inventory management.
- Participates in selecting, interviewing, and hiring new regeneration, door work, and membrane technicians.
- Ensures inventory-related orders are entered into SAP accurately and on schedule to support timely replenishment, production readiness, and effective materials management.
- Oversees team training by identifying EHS and technical training needs, assigning required coursework, supporting completion, and ensuring employees are prepared to perform work safely, effectively, and in compliance with applicable procedures.
- Provides hands-on support in production areas as needed by stepping in to cover operational gaps, maintain workflow continuity, and help ensure production goals are met safely and efficiently.
- Manages daily, weekly, and monthly production schedules to support operational priorities, resource planning, and timely completion of production activities.
- Maintains compliance with wastewater requirements and applicable permits.
- Manages the work-permit process by securing required permits, verifying completion of necessary approvals, and ensuring permitted activities are performed safely and in compliance with applicable procedures.
- Demonstrates strong multitasking skills by effectively balancing competing priorities, coordinating multiple activities, and maintaining focus in a fast-paced production environment.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
- Demonstrated knowledge of water treatment processes including deionization, softening, reverse osmosis and deoxygenation preferred
- Knowledge of DOT regulations and compliance
- Knowledge of 5S
- Knowledge of SAP
- Advanced knowledge of Environmental Health and Safety Regulations
- Demonstrated leadership and teamwork skills
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Strong interpersonal skills and awareness
- Ability to read and interpret instructions and safety manuals
Education & Experience:
Required
- High school diploma/GED with at least 8-10 years of experience in an operations or management position -OR-
- Associateβs degree in a Science or Process Tech with 6-8 years of experience
Preferred
- BS in Biology, Chemistry, Business, or engineering
- At least two additional years of operations or management experience
Working Conditions:
- Work takes place in a range of environments including but not limited to industrial facilities, manufacturing facilities, and power industry facilities.
- Required travel 10%
- Pittman Schedule - 3 on/2off/2on/3off
- Working hours: 6pm-6am
