Job Description

We’re looking for a Project Manager III to join our team.

Manages multiple medium to large projects. Assembles project team, clarifies objectives, develops project plan, and manages plan execution to ensure on-time, on-budget delivery. Generally manages projects with budgets between $50K - $250K and consists of 5 - 10 project resources. Lead project teams of Design Analysts, Developers, QA Analysts and members of other departments. Responsible for scope management, requirements gathering, project tracking, resource management, issues management, communications and meeting facilitation. Responsible for reporting out on project status and updates to key stakeholders and executives. Works independently, final results reviewed upon completion for adequacy in meeting objectives. Plans, schedules and arranges own activities in accomplishing objectives. General instruction and supervision, verification of overall accuracy of final results. May provide limited training to new employees.

A bit more about what you’ll do…

• Create a Risk Management Plan, and submit to Management on each project, to avoid and / or minimize the impact of Scope creep, Timeline extensions, Resource constraints, Process issues, and Budget overages.
• Work with Management to ensure the risk management plan will work on their projects for each of the department areas.
• Ability to manage scope issues with the Business Partner with no oversight.
• Report budget trends proactively to Business Partner Management, so budget busts can be seen long before they occur.
• Ability to explain end to end how their project relates within the context of the application(s), and how it will enhance the work process for those using the system.
• Successfully prepare budgets, project charters, responsibility matrix, project plans, and weekly status reports without guidance from their manager.
• Proactively provide options on projects to Management and our Business Partners.
• Work with Management to ensure no gaps in resource coverage for the projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent. Masters preferred.
• At least 4-6 years of related experience.
• Proven success with managing expectations, management level communication, concept development, multi-tasking, and managing ambiguity.
• Must be familiar with scope management, requirements gathering, project tracking and meeting facilitation.
