Position:

For its Pratteln office (Basel area), ARTELIA Industrie Suisse SA is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer with strong expertise in electrical engineering, EIA/EMSR systems, and industrial project execution. The successful candidate will contribute both technically and through leadership in the delivery of challenging projects within the chemical, pharmaceutical, and process industries.

Key Responsibilities

Reporting to the office director, you will be involved in projects for new installations or improvements to existing units. In this context, your missions will consist of:

Electrical Engineering (EIA / EMSR)

• Conduct low-voltage, medium-voltage, and high-voltage electrical distribution studies.
• Design and prepare electrical schematic diagrams.
• Specify electrical equipment, including power conversion systems, main low-voltage switchboards, transformers, and associated systems.
• Define and size instrumentation equipment, including preparation of instrument datasheets and instrument lists.
• Collaborate with the Purchasing Department to identify and engage suppliers.
• Carry out technical bid evaluations and technical discussions with suppliers.
• Participate in project costing and ensure financial, technical, and quality monitoring of projects.
• Prepare budget estimates.
• Verify input data and compliance with applicable standards and regulations.
• Contribute to EIA/EMSR architecture design.
• Ensure the quality of detailed engineering deliverables.
• Act as technical interface between process, electrical, and mechanical disciplines.
• Execute FAT, SAT, IQ/OQ, commissioning, and start-up activities.

Project Coordination & Client Interface

• Act as the main technical contact for customers.
• Lead EIA work packages according to project requirements.
• Monitor project schedules, costs, and overall progress.
• Propose and present optimized technical solutions.
• Support and mentor junior engineers.
• Report to the office director concerning the development of local activities.

On-Site Activities

• Perform assignments at industrial client sites in German-speaking Switzerland and occasionally throughout Switzerland.
• Participate in commissioning and plant start-up activities.
• Provide technical support during plant operation when required.

Qualifications

Profile

Master's Degree or Engineering Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.

You have at least 8 to 10 years of experience in industrial electrical engineering, including significant involvement in engineering, commissioning, and plant start-up activities.

You have proven expertise in EIA/EMSR systems and a solid understanding of instrumentation and industrial electrical installations.

You are familiar with the Swiss industrial environment and ideally have experience in the chemical, pharmaceutical, biotechnology, or process industries.

You possess strong project coordination and technical leadership capabilities, enabling you to manage technical interfaces and contribute to the successful delivery of complex projects.

Knowledge of GMP environments would be considered a strong asset.

You are recognized for your structured and analytical mindset, your high level of autonomy, your sense of ownership, and your ability to build strong relationships with clients and project stakeholders.

You are comfortable working independently while collaborating effectively within multidisciplinary teams and mentoring junior engineers.

You are willing to work on industrial sites and participate in commissioning and operational support activities when required.

Fluent German is essential. Professional working proficiency in English is required, and French would be considered an asset.
