Following a review in 2022, the Faculty of Medical and Health Sciences renewed its commitment to Six Faculty Research Centres. The Eisdell Moore Centre (EMC) for hearing and balance research is one of the six Faculty Research Centres. The EMC is dedicated to reducing the impact of hearing and balance disabilities in New Zealand and the Pacific Region. EMC also houses the WHO Collaborating Centre for Indigenous and Pacific Ear and Hearing Care, engaging and maintaining relationships with communities in Aotearoa and the Pacific Islands. We are seeking a dynamic and highly organised Senior Research Operations Coordinator to provide administrative and operational support to the Directors and Research Operations Manager. This role is crucial in supporting key initiatives, including outreach, communications, events, funding rounds, and digital presence, helping to strengthen connections, visibility, and impact.

As the Senior Research Operations Coordinator, you will collaborate closely with a diverse team of academics, professional staff, external stakeholders, and the public. Your strong communication and relationship management skills will be essential. You will be ready to hit the ground running with excellent organisational abilities, capable of efficiently juggling multiple tasks. This is a part time (22.5 hours per week), fixed term role ending 31 December 2029.

Remuneration:  $73,400 - $83,000 dependent on skills and experience.

• You will have experience navigating policies and procedures in a large, complex organisation, with an understanding of research management and the research funding environment.
• You will be skilled in project, people and time management, with the ability to balance multiple priorities effectively and coordinate multiple tasks simultaneously.
• You will have strong written and oral communication skills, with experience coordinating research-related events such as symposiums, workshops and seminars, developing communication materials and engaging with diverse stakeholders.
• You will be confident working both independently and collaboratively, identifying opportunities and developing innovative ways to overcome challenges.
• It is preferable that you have experience with website management, including updating and creating content.
• You will be proficient in coordinating communication across various platforms, including social media, email, newsletters and membership lists.
• You will be capable of engaging stakeholders at all levels, including senior management, academia, government providers and community stakeholders.
• You will be proficient in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Teams for managing administrative tasks.
• Ideally you will have some experience engaging with Māori and Pacific communities
