Job Description

What You'll Do

• Support the launch and daily operation of the pastry kitchen.
• Assist in developing creative dessert, bakery, and pastry menus that align with the hotel's concept and seasonal offerings.
• Ensure consistent quality, presentation, and flavor across all pastry products.
• Lead, mentor, and inspire pastry team members, creating a positive and collaborative kitchen culture.
• Maintain the highest standards of food safety, hygiene, and sanitation.
• Manage inventory, ordering, and cost controls while minimizing waste.
• Collaborate with culinary, restaurant, banquet, and bar teams to create memorable guest experiences.
• Participate in menu tastings, special events, promotions, and seasonal activations.
• Support recruitment, onboarding, and training during the hotel opening phase.
• Foster a culture of creativity, excellence, and continuous improvement

Qualifications

What We're Looking For

• Previous experience as a Pastry Sous Chef or Senior Pastry Chef in a luxury hotel, lifestyle hospitality brand, or high-end restaurant.
• Strong knowledge of pastry production, bakery operations, plated desserts, and contemporary techniques.
• Experience leading and developing culinary teams.
• Passion for innovation, trends, and elevated guest experiences.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills.
• Ability to perform in a fast-paced, high-energy environment.
• Understanding of food cost management, purchasing, and inventory controls.
• Opening experience is a plus, but a positive attitude and entrepreneurial mindset are even more important.
