Sr. Staff Product Marketing Engineer- MCU (AI datacenter infrastructure)

Job Description

This is a Senior Staff Product Marketing Manager role in Renesas’ Application-Specific MCU team within the Embedded Processing Product Group. AI workloads are driving higher rack power, tighter thermal limits, richer telemetry, and greater reliance on control-plane intelligence. Renesas is positioned to be a leading MCU supplier for servers, digital power control systems, optical modules, and cooling control. This role will translate customer needs and market insights into product requirements, differentiated roadmaps, investment priorities, and go-to-market plans.

Key Responsibilities

The candidate will own the product marketing strategy for assigned AI infrastructure MCU opportunities, including market segmentation, customer prioritization, product definition, roadmap recommendations, business cases, positioning, and launch readiness. Influence portfolio and investment decisions by presenting evidence-based recommendations to product-line and executive stakeholders.

• Engage hyperscalers, ODMs, server OEMs, power-supply vendors, optical module vendors, and ecosystem partners.
• Build market insight across server platforms, rack power, thermal management, security, telemetry, and optical modules.
• Assess competitors and alternatives; convert insights into differentiated positioning and roadmap choices.
• Track specific standards including OCP, OBMF, PMBus, M-CRPS, OIF, CMI.
• Translate customer and market input into MRDs, business cases, roadmap proposals, and investment priorities.
• Create positioning, messaging, launch plans, sales enablement, customer presentations, and competitive briefs.
• Position Renesas MCUs as secure, software-enabled AI infrastructure solutions—not generic embedded controllers.
• Connect product capabilities to customer use cases, ecosystem standards, reference designs, and business value.
• Support design-in activity with sales, field applications, and customer engineering teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in electrical engineering, computer engineering, computer science, or related field.
• Working knowledge of datacenter infrastructure, power management, telemetry, security, or platform management.
• Experience in semiconductor product management, product marketing, product definition, applications, or system architecture.
• Strong understanding of MCUs, embedded software, firmware, system integration, and customer design-ins
• Ability to create product requirements, business cases, roadmaps, and go-to-market plans.
• Strong communication skills with technical, customer, and cross-functional audiences.
• Experience with AI infrastructure, hyperscale datacenters, rack power, digital power, or high-density power conversion
