Shine is the financial copilot for entrepreneurs and small business owners.
Founded by serial entrepreneurs Rico Andersen and Martin Hegelund, Shine is a leading European fintech unicorn on a mission to restore the joy of running a business, by ending wasted time on financial admin. Shine offers a connected solution for invoicing, accounting, payroll, business accounts, payments, and financing, meaning business owners can focus their energy on growing a healthy business, not held back by manual admin.
Part of something bigger
Today we're part of Cegid, a European leader in cloud software for finance and accounting. Together we're building Europe's leading financial copilot for small businesses and their accountants.
Year-end is a key part of every accountant's calendar: closing the books, producing the annual accounts and filing the tax return. Today, most of that time goes into manual bookkeeping and admin. Our mission is to change that, so accountants can automate more of their work and spend their time giving clients strategic advice. We're building a new year-end product from scratch and launching it as a standalone product in a new market.
As our Staff Product Designer, you'll take this product from zero to one. You'll run research with accountants to understand how year-end works, test concepts early and shape what the product becomes. You'll make decisions together with your product manager and engineering manager as a trio, and as the product grows, you'll help it scale to other markets. You'll also manage and mentor other designers in this area.
You get the pace and ownership of a startup, with the support and design maturity of an established company.
Your work has a direct line to business impact.
You'll work closely with the people making the key decisions.
You'll shape the design strategy for a whole new area.
Your responsibilities will include:
Taking the product from problemβsolution fit to product market fit through experiments and small iterations
Managing and mentoring designers in this area, and fostering psychological safety
Working with designers and teams across Shine, through design critiques and when a feature depends on them
π Job located in Berlin & Amsterdam with possibility of two remote working days per week
You have 7+ years of design experience, including at least 2β3 years at senior level. You're hands-on with a strong focus on craft, you use AI in your design workflow, and you speak fluent English.
