Job Description

The Technical Project Manager acts as the technical counterpart to the Project Manager and is responsible to plan, coordinate and execute global multi-disciplinary engineering activities to achieve project success. Responsible for making sure the technical team understands and fulfills the customer and internal requirements on specification, on schedule and on budget.

  • Ensure engineering development, validation, and release throughout product lifecycle according to schedule, guidelines, requirements and specifications
  • Lead international cross-functional technical teams including mechanical, hardware, software, testing, system architect, functional safety, cybersecurity, system application and resident engineers.
  • Completion of final engineering release for OEM or saleable use
  • Creation and maintenance of technical project schedule
  • Support problem solving and root cause analysis activities
  • Responsible for technical risk management
  • Budget and resource management for technical development and testing efforts
  • Develop and maintain a positive OEM relationship as key technical point of contact and engineering lead

Qualifications

Education:

Bachelor of Science in Mechatronics Engineering or related technical field (Mechanical, Electronics, Computer Systems, Industrial, Automotive) or equivalent.

Additional Information

Travel required approximately 5% of the time within Mexico or USA
