Job Description

1. Carry out preventive and corrective maintenance of hotel facilities, equipment and systems to ensure smooth daily operations.
2. Inspect, troubleshoot and repair air-conditioning, electrical, plumbing, refrigeration, kitchen and laundry equipment, and general building facilities.
3. Attend promptly to maintenance requests in guest rooms, public areas, F&B outlets and back-of-house areas.
4. Conduct routine inspections and ensure all equipment and facilities are maintained in good working condition.
5. Identify and report equipment defects, safety hazards and maintenance issues to the Engineering Supervisor.
6. Ensure compliance with hotel fire and life safety procedures, health and safety regulations, and maintenance standards.
7. Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs and equipment inspections.
8. Coordinate with other departments to minimise operational disruptions and ensure guest satisfaction.
9. Support energy conservation initiatives and efficient utilisation of resources.
10. Perform other duties as assigned by Management.

Qualifications

1. Minimum SPM or equivalent qualification.
2. Technical certificate in Electrical, Mechanical, Air-Conditioning or related fields is an advantage.
3. Minimum 1 year of relevant maintenance experience, preferably in the hospitality industry.
4. Basic knowledge of electrical systems, plumbing, air-conditioning and general building maintenance.
5. Good troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.
6. Good communication and interpersonal skills.
7. Service-oriented, proactive and attentive to detail.
8. Ability to work independently and effectively as part of a team.
9. Willingness to work on shifts, weekends and public holidays.
