Test Maintenance Engineer

Job Description

Job Summary

The Test Maintenance Engineer is responsible for maintaining and troubleshooting semiconductor test equipment and hardware to ensure reliable production operations. The role focuses on equipment availability and performance, drives root cause resolution of hardware-related issues, and leads continuous improvement initiatives to enhance equipment reliability, availability, and operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain and troubleshoot semiconductor test equipment and test hardware to support production operations.
• Perform repair, calibration, and preventive maintenance activities for testers and test boards.
• Drive root cause investigation and resolution of issues impacting production, yield, and test performance.
• Coordinate equipment repair, recovery, and issue resolution activities to minimize manufacturing downtime and support production targets.

Lead continuous improvement initiatives to enhance equipment utilization, OEE, and operational efficiency.

Qualifications

Must have

• Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering or related field.
• Basic understanding of electronic circuits and test equipment fundamentals.
• Willingness to learn and work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
• Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to drive corrective actions.

Good to have

• Experience or internship exposure in semiconductor test equipment maintenance and troubleshooting.
• Experience with Advantest V93K, Teradyne ETS364/800, SPEA or similar test platforms.
• Basic programming or scripting skills for diagnostics and automation.
• Strong communication, teamwork, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
