Veterinary Associate - Greencross Diamond Creek

Company Description

Great veterinary medicine. Great people. A great place to work.

If you're looking for a veterinary role where you can do meaningful work, build genuine relationships with clients and their pets, and be part of a team that really cares about doing things well, we'd love to hear from you.

Located in the beautiful Nillumbik surrounds, Greencross Diamond Creek offers a refreshing change from the pace of the inner city. With leafy surrounds, a relaxed community atmosphere and an easy commute of around 45 minutes from Melbourne CBD, you'll have the opportunity to enjoy a little more space and a lot of lifestyle — while still being close to everything Melbourne has to offer.

Why you'll love working with us

A fantastic client community
We have a loyal and engaged client base who value quality veterinary care. You'll have the opportunity to build long-term relationships with clients and their pets, getting to know them over time rather than simply seeing them once and moving on.

A team that genuinely cares
You'll join a focused, energetic and highly committed team who enjoy working together and have veterinary care best practice at the heart of what we do. We're collaborative, supportive and invested in helping each other deliver great outcomes for our patients and their families.

A beautiful place to work
Set amongst the leafy surrounds of Nillumbik, Diamond Creek offers a genuinely lovely environment to come to work each day — with the Yarra Valley on your doorstep and Melbourne within easy reach.

The tools to do great work
Our bright, purpose-built clinic is equipped with an IDEXX in-house laboratory, IM3 dental suite, ultrasound, Tonopen and dedicated surgical facilities. You'll be supported by an experienced nursing team and veterinary colleagues, with leadership from an experienced Practice Manager and Veterinary Director.

You'll also have access to mentorship from a Membership-qualified ECC veterinarian, including regular CPR and snake bite training.

Job Description

We're looking for an experienced Veterinarian to join our team on a part-time basis, which may include some Saturdays.

You'll enjoy a varied mix of consulting and surgery, with the support of an experienced nursing team and veterinary colleagues who are always willing to lend a hand.

Our caseload is predominantly companion animals, with occasional pocket pets and seasonal snake bite presentations. It's a varied and interesting caseload that provides plenty of opportunity to use your existing skills while continuing to develop professionally.

Qualifications

We're looking for someone who:

• Holds a Veterinary Science degree recognised by the AVBC and is eligible for registration in Victoria.
• Has previous experience in small animal general practice.
• Is confident in consulting and routine surgical procedures.
• Enjoys developing genuine, long-term relationships with clients.
• Values teamwork, collaboration and high standards of veterinary care.
• Brings energy, curiosity and a willingness to contribute to a positive team culture.

Most importantly, we're looking for someone who will enjoy being part of our team and the community we've built at Diamond Creek.
