Veterinary Nurse (Casual or Part-Time) | Greencross Vets Minchinbury | Western Sydney, NSW

We're looking for a Veterinary Nurse who's as passionate about patient care as we are!

Greencross Vets Minchinbury is seeking an experienced Veterinary Nurse to join our team on a casual or part-time basis.

This opportunity is ideal for a nurse looking for regular Friday shifts, together with additional cover for annual leave, sick leave, and increased clinic demand. There will also be opportunities to pick up extra shifts over the Christmas and New Year period, as well as ongoing additional hours throughout the year.

About the Role

This is a casual or part-time position offering:

• Regular Friday shifts
• Additional leave coverage opportunities
• Increased hours during busy periods and holiday seasons
• Opportunities to pick up extra shifts when available
• Exposure to a varied caseload in a busy GP environment

Your responsibilities will include:

• Undertaking general nursing duties
• Surgical preparation and post-operative patient care
• Monitoring anaesthesia and patient recovery
• Pathology collection and diagnostic testing
• Medical nursing and hospital patient care
• Emergency and critical care nursing support when required
• Performing minor procedures where appropriate
• Supporting nurse consulting and assisting veterinarians with consultations and patient workups
• Assisting with reception and client care duties when required
• Maintaining clinic hygiene, including surgical areas and equipment
• Supporting veterinarians during consultations and procedures
• Providing exceptional client communication and care
• Assisting with day-to-day clinic operations

About You

We're looking for someone who:

• Holds a Certificate IV in Veterinary Nursing or equivalent 
• Has a minimum of 2+ years' clinical veterinary nursing experience
• Has a strong understanding of veterinary nursing procedures
• Is confident monitoring anaesthetics and surgical patients
• Demonstrates excellent animal handling skills
• Enjoys mentoring and guiding veterinary nursing students
• Has outstanding organisational and communication skills
• Delivers excellent customer service
• Can work both independently and as part of a team
• Is flexible, adaptable, and reliable
• Has experience using RxWorks (desirable but not essential)
