Key responsibilities

  • Develop, deliver and evaluate high-quality pharmacy teaching, as agreed with the Head of School and senior academic leadership
  • Contribute to integrated curriculum design across consultation skills, clinical reasoning, patient assessment, communication, medicines optimisation and professional practice.

  • Enhance student learning and engagement, responding constructively to student and peer review feedback
  • Develop and implement innovations in teaching and assessment, and evaluate their impact through peer review
  • Supervise undergraduate, and where appropriate, postgraduate research projects, as appropriate to academic level and experience.
  • Develop a research or scholarship programme and contribute to service and engagement within the School, Faculty, profession and wider community, as appropriate to academic level and experience.
  • Lead and contribute to service activities within the School, Faculty, and wider University community

This is a permanent, full-time position, though a part-time role may be considered depending on the successful candidate's needs. We are ideally seeking someone who can commence February 2027, however we can be flexible on the start date for the right person.

The appointment may be made at Lecturer or Senior Lecturer level. Academic level and salary step will be determined by qualifications, experience and achievement against the University’s academic standards.
