ABOUT THE ROLE

As an Inside Sales Specialist for Portugal, you will own the full sales cycle for the Portuguese market, from identifying and prospecting new accounts to closing deals and growing them. You will be part of the Alpega sales organization, working in a fast-paced, target-driven environment.

What you will do 

• Outbound prospecting: Drive new business through proactive outbound prospecting: cold calls, emails and LinkedIn outreach to shippers, carriers and freight forwarders in Portugal. 
• High activity: Maintain a consistently high level of daily activity (calls, conversations, meetings booked) in line with team KPIs. 
• Lead and opportunity management: Qualify and manage leads and opportunities end to end in Salesforce, ensuring each deal has clear next steps, accurate stages and up-to-date information. 
• Sales execution: Run discovery conversations and product demos of the Freight Exchange platform, then negotiate and close deals. 
• Forecasting: Provide accurate, regular pipeline forecasts (weekly/monthly/quarterly) and take part in pipeline reviews with sales management. 
• Customer growth and retention: Build lasting relationships with new and existing customers to drive adoption, retention and upsell, reducing churn. 
• Collaboration: Collaborate with marketing, customer success and other teams to follow the sales process and share best practices. 
• Market insight: Share market feedback and competitor insights from the Portuguese market. 

How you will be measured 

• New customers acquired 
• Monthly revenue generated 
• Daily activity: calls, conversations and meetings booked and % Conversion rates 
• Pipeline generated and forecast accuracy 

Your first year 

• You are expected to reach 95%  of your sales target, and to build an excellent knowledge of the sales process and of the Freight Exchange platform. 
• Success in this role is defined by the new customers you bring and the revenue they generate. 

WHAT WE LOOK FOR IN YOU

Must have 

• Bachelor's degree (or proven hands-on experience) 
• 2+ years of B2B sales experience, ideally in software, SaaS or services 
• Proven track record in outbound sales: cold calling, prospecting and generating your own pipeline 
• Comfort working in a high-activity, target-driven environment, with a history of meeting or exceeding quotas 
• Experience managing a pipeline of leads and opportunities, with discipline in CRM hygiene 
• Experience with sales forecasting and a track record of forecasting accurately 
• Proven negotiation skills and a clear drive to close deals 
• Fluent Portuguese (C2) ; fluent Spanish and English (B2 or C1)

You will be tested on these competences throughout the selection process. 

Nice to have 

• Salesforce experience 
• Background in logistics, transportation, supply chain or marketplace/platform sales 
• Experience selling subscription-based products
