Job Description

Orient Express Trains & Hotels Italy is looking for a Web Content Specialist to support the management, development, and optimization of its websites.

The role will be responsible for digital content publishing and quality, day-to-day CMS management and the coordination of activities aimed at improving organic visibility, user experience and website performance.

This is a hands-on role requiring autonomy and strong operational skills. The candidate should be comfortable working directly with WordPress and Drupal, while collaborating with Marketing, Brand, IT, third party agencies and developers.

The role will contribute to the development of the website as a platform for communication, discovery and conversion, while ensuring consistency with the Orient Express brand identity and tone of voice.

Qualifications

• Manage the publication, updating and quality control of content across Orient Express Trains & Hotels Italy websites using WordPress, Drupal and other CMS platforms.
• Coordinate the creation and updating of pages, landing pages, offers and multilingual content, ensuring alignment with brand identity, tone of voice and editorial standards.
• Manage images, videos, documents and other digital assets within the CMS and media libraries.
• Support SEO, GEO and content optimization activities, including metadata, internal linking, page structure and search visibility.
• Contribute to content optimization for search engines, AI search, answer engines and generative platforms.
• Analyse website performance and contribute to CRO and user experience initiatives, identifying improvement opportunities across navigation, content, calls to action and key journeys.
• Contribute to the definition and implementation of A/B testing and other conversion rate optimization initiatives.
• Support website development through requirements gathering, ticket management, testing, troubleshooting and the coordination of new functionalities, plugins and integrations.
• Manage first-level troubleshooting activities.

Additional Information

Requirements

• 3-5 years of experience in web content management, website management or digital content operations.
• Hands-on experience with WordPress and Drupal.
• Knowledge of on-page SEO, technical SEO, CRO and UX principles.
• Familiarity with GA4, Google Search Console and web analytics tools.
• Basic knowledge of HTML and CSS.
• Experience managing tickets, testing, bugs and releases.
• Excellent command of English.
• Strong attention to detail, autonomy and stakeholder management skills.
