company and a separate employer from Marriott International, Inc. The
franchisee solely controls all aspects of the hotel’s employment policies and
practices, including hiring, firing, discipline, staffing, compensation,
benefits, and all other terms and conditions of employment. If you accept a
position at this hotel, you will be employed by a franchisee and not by Marriott
International, Inc.
As a Guest Assistant (front office agent), you will be responsible for providing
an exceptional guest experience throughout the entire stay, from check-in and
check-out to their interactions with the hotel team and facilities.
You will welcome and assist guests, respond to enquiries, manage calls and
emails, process payments and invoices, and support the Front Office team with
daily operational tasks. You will also act as an expert on the hotel and its
surroundings, providing recommendations and information to exceed guest
expectations.
The role includes building strong relationships with new and returning guests,
promoting additional hotel services and opportunities to increase revenue, and
creating positive interactions both in person and by phone. You will work
closely with the Lobby team and other operational departments to ensure a
seamless and memorable guest experience.
You will also contribute to maintaining a clean, organised and welcoming lobby
area, ensuring that hotel quality standards are consistently met.
The Guest Assistant reports to the Guest Assistant Supervisor and/or Guest
Assistant Manager and works collaboratively with the Lobby team and other
operational departments.
Qualifications:
-Degree or vocational training in Hospitality, Tourism, Hotel Management,
Business Administration, or a related field.
-Minimum 2 years of previous experience in a hotel Front Office or Reception
role.
-Previous experience with hotel management systems and reservation and billing
processes.
-Knowledge of PMS systems; experience with Opera is required.
-Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office and digital tools.
-Knowledge of check-in and check-out procedures, as well as reservation and
cancellation policies.
-Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a strong guest-focused
approach.
-Strong teamwork and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively
with different operational departments.
-Sales-oriented mindset and ability to promote additional hotel services.
-Ability to work independently and make appropriate decisions in emergency
situations.
-Professional appearance and excellent customer service skills.
-Strong attention to detail, flexibility, empathy and a proactive attitude.

-Ability to work in a fast-paced hospitality environment and adapt to changing

Salary in accordance with the hospitality industry collective bargaining
agreement and variable incentive system.
